About Brother Michael

Brother Michael has a background as a public school teacher, where he taught in his native Trinidad and Tobago.  The Lord graciously drew Brother Michael to himself as a young man of about 21 or 22 years of age.  And after a startling encounter with God, he surrendered his life and has never looked back since.  

After several years of faithfully serving others, Pastor Michael Alleyne began to enter the ministry in 1980 and has experienced many transitions in his understanding of Christ, his Church and what it means to be a Christian.  He has traversed through many dangers, toils and snares before he arrived at his present place in God.  Suffice it to say that, due to certain circumstances, he had the ‘opportunity’ to be part of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, Transcendental Meditation and First Church of Christ, Scientist.  

Originally a member of the Anglican Church in Trinidad, he toyed with the idea of Rastafarianism, dabbled in ‘Pharmikos’, Hare Krishna, Metaphysics and New Thought and practiced Martial Arts (a form of  Karma yoga).  He operated within the Manifest Sons of God Movement, the Apostolic, Prophetic Movement, and the Positive Confession Movement for a while.  But the Lord was merciful and delivered him out of them all.   These journeys helped him to appreciate the plight of those who may still be out of the way and thus rendered him capable, by God’s grace, to bear patiently with them.

God, in his mercy, sovereignly delivered Brother Michael out of these systems as well as out from under the wrath of God while he drained every possible drop out of the pleasures of sin, of which there is no need to itemize the things of which he is now ashamed.  All sin is folly and rebellion and that which is just grounds for the retributive justice and judgment of God, ought not be the grounds for boasting.   God help us not to glory in our shame but in the undeserved favor of a holy and righteous God.
